LHI Giants Game night

Jason had his company's Giants game night on Friday. It was a good night for a game, good weather, Willie Mays' 75th birthday, Barry Bonds was at 713 and ready to tie the record...and it was "Free Orange Wig Night"! It was too funny to see all our friends and co-workers with orange troll hair. They did work well, however, to keep our heads warm at the always-cold ATT Park. Unfortunately, Barry did nothing but provide a couple of pop flys, but the boys enjoyed it and actually sat in their seats for the entire game. Maybe it was the cotton candy?

Saturdays with the guys

I love my Saturdays with my boys. We always go on some adventure or other. Last weekend it was a hike in the Woodside hills. We saw lots of bugs, a gopher peeking up out of its hole, and three lizards. Then we went to lunch at a biker hangout in Woodside that had delicious food and lots of Harleys. My kind of day! I hope my boys have as many good memories of these days as I do.

New School For Wesley

So my firstborn (who seems like he was born yesterday - time flies) is going to start Kindergarten in September! I cannot believe it. We had applied to 4 schools here in Redwood City. The way it works is that it is a magnat school system. What that means is that you apply for your 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choice and depending on demand you get your school.

So we have wanted (probably me more than Wendy) but was wanted to have him in a spanish immersion school. We got the letter today - he was accepted!!!

he will be going to Adelante. I hope that it is the right fit and that he enjoys it. We have talked about learning it ourselves. I would love to - time???

First Beach Day of the Season

The sun came out today so we decided we needed an outing! We packed up some snacks and headed to Half Moon Bay to the beach. It was a beautiful day, but still cold and windy. That didn't stop the boys from playing in the sand for a couple of hours. They dug a huge hole with a friend they met there, then they found a long piece of kelp they dragged all the way to the car...and of course, they RAN!
