Mind Bender - Solve the Riddle

I put this on my other blog (SV Outsider) today. Really, nothing more than a time waster, really. However, we talked about it at work and at the dinner table and it did the job. So here it is;

You are in front of a wide river. With you is a chicken, a fox and a bag of grain. You can only carry one of those across the river at at time. If you leave the fox with the chicken, the chicken will be eatin. If you leave the chicken with the grain the chicken will eat the grain. How do you get them all across?

The joy of treasure hunting - for the 21st century!

About a week ago I was at the park with the boys. Next to us was a dad and his 3 boys. They appeared to have lost something so, in an attempt to be a nice neighbor, I asked if they needed help finding what they had lost. He then began to explain to me that they were geocaching and looking for a hidden object placed in the park by someone else.

He had purchased a hand-held GPS unit and would take his kids on hikes. The difference on these hikes is that they would go with a purpose to find something. I was intrigued. So I did a little research (google: geocaching) and yesterday bought a gps unit (about $150 at a sporting goods store) and took the boys and my dad on our first geocach hike. There are over 7,000 hidden in my zip code alone! In any case, the site I have used is www.geocaching.com.

Jacob Hudgins (green shirt), one of Wesley's friends, is in a commercial. His uncle Walley is a producer and they entered a contest for Heinz Ketchup. It's pretty good!
