Amazing Things...

Thomas and I are having fun getting the chance to meet McKenna. I read this today:

Psalm 40:5
"Many, O LORD my God,
are the wonders you have done.
The things you planned for us
no one can recount to you;
were I to speak and tell of them,
they would be too many to declare."

The "wonders" are amazing. Everytime I see a newborn baby and the process I am simply amazed. It is nice to be in Portland as it has been a long time. It brings back lots of fond memories. I moved here in 1991 and spent the better part of 10 years here. It was here that I met my beautiful wife and partner Wendy, it was here that I went to college. It was on that college that a man named John O'hara stopped me on campus and invited me to church. My brother now lives right near that campus and as I drove up here a flood of memories came back.

That moment was very special as it was a defining moment in my life that changed the whole focus and direction of my life. I am very grateful. It was here that we conceived our first child. Much of my family and Wendy's family still reside here. As the scripture I read this morning says above, "If I were to speak and tell of them (the things God has planned for us) they would be too many to declare". I feel that way this morning about the past 13 years of my life. I look forward to many more to come as I look forward.

Here is Uncle Tim trying to find out if Thomas is goofy foot or not...
