I put this on my other blog (SV Outsider) today. Really, nothing more than a time waster, really. However, we talked about it at work and at the dinner table and it did the job. So here it is;
You are in front of a wide river. With you is a chicken, a fox and a bag of grain. You can only carry one of those across the river at at time. If you leave the fox with the chicken, the chicken will be eatin. If you leave the chicken with the grain the chicken will eat the grain. How do you get them all across?

Oh, yeah--the river crossing thing. Either you: A. tie one of the animals up while you take the other, B. Send one of them in the boat without you or, C. Do you have to cross the river? Take the long way around? Set the fox free? (Why do you need a fox anyway?)...okay, I don't know the answer...
