Dad again...

I made a decision to really make this weekend special for Wendy. Saturday (as you can see from pics below) we went to San Francisco. We began with breakfast at some surf themed restaurant at pier 39. Then we went on the blue & gold fleet around the bay!

After that we went to get Wendy some running shoes. I cannot describe how proud I am of her. I was (and I stress WAS) the runner in the family. Wendy hated running. However, over the past five months she has run an average of 3 miles a day 3 days a week!

On Saturday and Sunday afternoon I took the boys (Wesley and Thomas) to the YMCA to swim. We are having lots off fun as they have swimming class on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Other days there are open swim days. It's fun now as they can both swim. So we can play around and it's alot less stressful as they are in the pool doing their thing. On Sunday I took Nathan as well. It was his first time and he had a great time!

On another note I just took over running the department I have been a part of. As if there is not enough going on in life already. I am thankful for the opportunities that we have been given. I am also really, really looking forward to going on our vacation in a few weeks.

Mother's Weekend

We had a nice Mother's Day weekend. We did most of our celebrating on Saturday, went up to the city to take a little bay cruise. The boys loved it, especially "the JAIL!"

Then...they got me the best gift ever...new running shoes! I even got to break them in with a nice run. Thanks boys! I love you all!

On to moving and birthdays! May is so fun.

Photos from the week

Happy Friday! I just unloaded the camera and found some cute pictures from this week.

It was in the 90's during the first part of the week and Thomas convinced me to get sunglasses for everyone. Of course Nathan will only wear his for about three seconds, before ripping them off with a huge smile on his face. Why do I waste money on things like this? Yet...I do.

This is our house, every day. Only more so. Especially now that we are one week away from moving, there are toys constantly covering every flat surface...and the Destroyer is not far behind. At least we will be in a smaller space to pick up!

There was a Mother's Day brunch at Thomas' preschool yesterday. They sang songs, did the Mexican Hat Dance and gave us these vases that they made. I was completely impressed. I could drop $350 at a gallery on something like this!

Happy May Day!

May First. Already? How can it be? May is a big month for us. Lots of birthdays...Nathan, Jason, me. Mother's Day. Jason's mom's birthday. My good friend Kari is due on May 29th, the same day Nathan was due. And, we are moving in 2 weeks! We finally found a place. That was about the most stressful couple of months of my life...trying to sell this house and then there seemed to be nothing on the rental market that was remotely big enough for five people. But, ta-daaaa we found a great little duplex just blocks from Thomas' preschool. Nice people and everything brand new. I'm really looking forward to downsizing a bit.

Nathan got a haircut and now I think he looks like my brother did when he was little. He put that piece of banana on his head today for the boys at breakfast and then he cracked up. It was like it was his own little trick. Then he did it again with a piece of waffle. The many talents of the Andrew children!
