Another week has passed! Now we are closing in on the DAY. Wendy REALLY wants Thomas out at this point. However, we cannot complain as she has had a very, very good pregnancy. She has hardly been sick and has worked very hard all the way through. I truly admire her strength.
Wesley continues to be our entertainment. It's really unbelievable to me how intelligent and aware he is. His latest thing is to ask, "what's that?" on just about everything. He also used to love taking baths. Then last week he just threw a fit when we said it was bath time. So Dad jumped in the tub and coaxed him in. Once in, he absolutely love the fact that Dad would splash and dump water on his own head. Now he won't take a bath without Dad. You it is interesting. I came home the other night in a mopey mood. Then Wesley comes in with his cheerful, innocent two year old, "bath, Daddy? Bath!" How could I resist?
Also, Grandpa Tim just moved here this weekend with Lorena. Wesley was very, very encouraged to see them. He has a great memory. For example, we have sung a song;
Father I adore you
And I lay my life before you
How I love you
Then Jesus.... second verse.
So his newest things is to add:
Daddy? Mommy? Grannie? Boppa? Grandpa? Kitty? you get the picture - it can make for a long bedtime.
Then we pray. He starts praying for his little friends! It blows my mind! "God, Jack. James, Carter, etc....."
If that doesn't touch a heart, I don't know what will.
Then the final big news of the week... Wendy and I put an offer on a house and it got accepted! We are very excited. We figure that every two years we need to have 3-4 of the biggest life stressors during the same month. That way we know that our pulse is still beating.
Actually, it just worked out that way.
Until next week...
