Rain, rain, go away

Winter is here...and with it the rain. Most of Northern California is having flooding problems...we consider ourselves lucky to live in a relatively stable area. But, yesterday, we had some flooding of our own. We took a few pictures of the neighborhood.

Unfortunately, our playroom sustained some water damage...a huge puddle suddenly disappeared and we knew it had gone under the carpet inside. We had to rip up the carpet and now we are drying out. Ah, the joys of a 1936 house...
