Time with the boys - Wes takes of training wheels!

This past weekend was a very encouraging and bonding time with the boys. Saturday, Wendy took some time to recoup and be alone. I had all three boys. Wesley told me that he was feeling embarrased because all the other 6 year olds could ride their bikes without training wheels (not entirely true - but his feelings were).

So he asked if we could take them off. After a short dispute between he and I over semantics (basically me trying to be a father and teach him that I would but he should be prepared to definately fall and him trying to convince me that IF he fell, etc, etc...). So after humbling myself and apologizing for arguing over something really foolish we took them off. Much to my amazement he was up and running within about 10 minutes. Within a few hours we was riding as though he had been riding all his life!

Of course, once Thomas saw this he wanted his off as well. I agreed but had to let Wesley know that he should be inspired that his example led Thomas to go down that route rather than feeling mad that his 4 year old brother now wanted to steal his thunder (Thomas is picking it up pretty quickly and will be up and running in a few more days). Wendy came home and was completely amazed. The best part? We got it on film;
