I'm not very good at keeping up with everything lately. So the poor blog sits here, unused, unwritten, probably unread. Oh well. Here I am, catching up, a week late from Halloween. We had Sly Cooper and Bentley the Turtle, from the world renowned PS2 game Sly Cooper and the Band of Thieves...you don't know it? Neither does 90% of the rest of the world...but they look something like this.

Then, we had the Pirate Who Doesn't Do Anything. At least anything you ask him to do. He did, however, say "Arrrr!" when the neighbors gave him candy. Nathan has really got the trick or treating thing down already, at 2-1/2. It's scary. When we woke up November 1st, I found a very happy two year old, already up, dancing around the living room, surrounded by at least six unwrapped and twice licked Tootsie Pops.
In other news, 2008 is almost over and I couldn't be happier. Not that I'm in the mood to start the holiday season yet or anything, but I knew in advance that 2008 would be "a bad year" and it certainly has lived up to my expectations. Which is not to say there haven't been a thousand good memories and happy moments and lessons learned...but let's just say it hasn't been the highlight of our life as a family. So for me, the sooner 2009 arrives, the sooner I have a chance at "a good year"! I'm not sure what awaits me, I may be surprised, but I have a feeling--or maybe I am just determined--that it will be a good year. Stick in there with me...I will be more communicative, I promise.
