Thomas

How can such a small person have such a large personality?

This is what I asked Jason this morning. I can't even remember what Thomas said to me this morning that struck me...but he always has something completely amusing and endearing to say. He's always been known to be more articulate than his age...and he is in that three year old explosion right now, always full of ideas and thoughts. Sometimes he wants to be treated like the baby still--he always wants me to carry him, and the blanket goes with us everywhere--but other times he is every inch a little man. He's doing great in his swimming and karate classes (he showed me how to bow to my sensei today) and since last week's act of rebellion he has done great in his big boy underwear. I feel so lucky to have a Thomas. I think everyone should have one.

Sunday night with Thievus Raccoonus

The boys are obsessed with something new. We got a Playstation 2 for Christmas, yes, we made it through 9 years of marriage with NO gaming system but now it's all downhill from here. The boys have a new game called Sly Cooper and the Thievus Raccoonus. It's sort of a treasure hunting game, of course there are bad guys guarding the treasure at every turn...they are getting really good. Way better than me. Of course, I don't spend the hours playing it that they do. We just instituted an hour a day rule because really, it was getting to be a bit much. It's all they want to do! "Can we play Thievus Raccoonus? or in Thomas' words, "Can we play Famous Raccoonus?"

Tonight we went to Chevy's for dinner...I love that they have a back room where they put all the families with little kids, I never have to feel like we are disturbing anyone. We don't go out as much as we used to before we were outnumbered, but once in awhile we get brave. Unbelievably tonight, all three kids sat in their seats and played with the crayons, ate all their food and didn't argue about anything or start crying. Jason and I even got to converse while we ate our own food! It was a moment blessed by God. :)

Anyway, this guy made them balloon swords and here they are playing a little Thievus Raccoonus before bed. And, a couple shots I like to call: How I Found Them. Enjoy!

Hump Day

This had better be the hump! I'm in a bad mood today. I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. We are trying to potty train Thomas and he is being the biggest stinker. Two days in dry underwear, so I gave him a car and five minutes later he peed all over the floor and tried to pretend I wouldn't notice. I took that car right back. Today he is arguing about everything. They warn you about the terrible twos, but no one even dares tell you about THREE.

Anyway, that's not the point of the post. I wanted to share my new creation. I am so proud of myself.

I made a blankie for Natey!

If you know my kids well, you know that they are blanket addicts. Wesley's was hand made by my sister in law Darlene. Thomas' came from Target because well, it just did. So now finally, I have made my son a blanket! Thanks to Grandma Jil for teaching me to crochet on her last trip down and helping me on my first try when I made a jumbled up mess. I'm happy with how it came out, and Nate seems to like it.

First Blogging of the Year!

Happy 2007 everyone! We haven't posted in a while because the holidays just kept going and going. Some of us have had ENOUGH.

The boys are out of school for another week, so I'm really going to have to get creative. We had Grandma Jil here for about 9 days which was a treat. We had a really nice Christmas.

Christmas Eve we went to the Hudgins' for traditional Polish dinner. Can you say YUM!

Then back at home we decorated cookies for Santa and see what we watched on TV? hehe

Christmas morning was a flurry of present opening and the rest of the day was spent fighting over the presents. I hope it's a stage. The favorites were of course the Star Wars items. We are now a four light saber family.

Anyway, we're just getting done taking down the decorations and getting back to something sort of normal. Here's to a terrific 2007!

Proof of Life...Together

Since we have had three kids, it's become harder and harder to actually get a picture of Jason and I together. In fact, it's rare that I even exist at all in the world of Andrew Clan Photography. So, these photos you see are a rare specimen indeed. They were taken by our driver (don't we sound like something?) on our Christmas light tour of San Francisco on our anniversary trip on Saturday. We had a wonderful time, by the way...good food, a night at our favorite little Nob Hill hotel, and the best thing? Waking up and having some QUIET time first thing in the morning. Turns out we also think alike...we gave each other iPods without knowing it beforehand. I'm quite enjoying mine :)

The last photo is what you are missing behind us in the first photo. A stunning view of the city from just north of the Golden Gate bridge.
