Boy games

I have a brother, and we used to play wild and stuff, but I am a girly girl. I always imagined that someday I would have a daughter and I could fill her room with pink things and a million little Barbie shoes. But God had another plan and here I sit with my three boys. Right now they are playing with, in age order:

a) The six year old has a shield

b) The four year old has a bazooka

c) The 20 month old has a red light saber.

They have been fighting their battle in every room of the house. It's actually quite funny to see Nathan getting a piece of the action...he wields a saber with finesse beyond his year. I don't naturally fit into this kind of scheme, I have to work at it. However, roughness comes naturally to boys, I am absolutely sure it is in their DNA. Even Nathan, who can barely talk, knows how to make the sound of an explosion. I am working hard to become what I need to be to parent these ruffians.

Thomas's First Hockey Game

We have a suite at the HP Pavilion and a few weeks back I took Wesley. Trying to be a "fair" dad I had to make things even and last night I took Thomas. It is a very fun experience. I am not that into Hockey. However, we take clients and the "fellowship" is great!

Rosalind, a co-worker of mine brought her 4 year old son, Shawn, and a camera. It was fun seeing the two boys play together. They had more energy than the hockey players.He is sitting here having breakfast and just said, "mom, I really liked the hockey game last night."

Also, Sharkey (the Sharks mascot) visited us because the boys were there. As you can imagine they were fired up to see Sharkey pay them a personal visit. Interesting fact, the HP Pavilion in San Jose is 3rd most trafficked arena in the world!

New Company Website

I don't usually write about business on our family blog. However, I am excited that our new company website is finally up an running. As of around noon today the site was put up. Elliot Brand, our IT director texted me to say it was live. It has been worked on and in development for a very, very long time. Take a look: Lawson Hawks.

Do Not Try This at Home.

Today is a day when I should run. I usually head to the gym and drop off the little guys and run on the treadmill, early. Today Thomas slept in, so it was about 9:30 before we got our act together. Well, by then there are about 5600 kids in the Child Watch and I just wasn't up for it today, so I thought, hey, I'll just go around the neighborhood and squish them both in the jogging stroller. Um, no go. They wouldn't both fit. So I decided to try...the WAGON.

We made it about a mile and a half...word to the wise, don't ever calculate the weight of what you're dragging while you're trying to run pulling 85 pounds. It just messes with you. But, I did it and it was at least as good a workout as running just myself 3 miles! I'm sure our neighbors were having a good laugh over it, but I feel like it was a victory because I didn't quit!
