Hiking The Creek

Left to right... Miles, Camile, Thomas, Wesley, Nathan and Ava (Lewis Williamson in background).

Wendy is in the city with the girls. They left on Friday night and will show up at church tomorrow. They are pampering themselves to a nice hotel, spa treatment, dinner, shopping, etc...

Meanwhile the boys and I have not had a bad time ourselves. It started yesterday around 2:30. I picked Wes up from school. We went directly to the hotel that Jonathan and Kelly are staying at and swam for a couple hours. On our way over we stopped at Toys-R-Us and picked up some bazooka size water guns and had a raging water fight.

Then we had dinner and came home for our traditional Friday night movie. Typically on Friday nights I let the boys watch a movie in bed and stay up late. They had ice cream, popcorn and a movie projected on the wall - what a life!

This morning we woke up and had breakfast. Some friends brought bfast sandwiches over so we could study the bible - and the boys got fed!

We then left to Huddard Park for hiking. It was so much fun. Once we got to our destination we trekked the creek. I haven't done that since I was a kid. Nathan, by the way, who is 2 tomorrow, walked the entire way.

Great job Nate!

Thomas climbed the rock;

Rock throwing was big;

Continuing on, we came to a 5 foot deep pool that was crystal clear. I love those! And I love that my boys love those. So Wes and Thomas went for a swim;

If that was not enough, we came home for naps and to relax for a couple hours, then went to dinner and a movie. I don't know why I punish myself with fresh choice but we went and got full. Then we saw Dr. Seuss's Horton Hears a Who.
